Nicolau Von Rupp has conquered the Capítulo Perfeito 2013, a tube riding competition held in Supertubos, Peniche, Portugal.

When getting barreled is exactly what matters in a surf contest, action is guaranteed in full. The European Pipeline served - 5-meter waves to crown the most effective in the pit.

Nicolau Von Rupp, Ivo Cação, Francisco Alves and Marlon Lipke secured a ticket to the last and gave their utmost in the little barrels being offered.

Von Rupp took the Capítulo Perfeito 2013 with a 10-point ride. "The onshore wind and the random swell were a challenge, but beginning the last with a 10 was a relief", said Nicolau.

The German-Portuguese surfer was followed in the podium by Marlon Lipke, Francisco Alves and Ivo Cação. A year ago, the big event was conquered by Tiago Pires.

The ban on surf contests which are not sanctioned by the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) halted the participation of the sole Portuguese surfer on the entire world Championship Tour.
